Born Malick Koman, and formerly known as Babyface Mal, Miko Mal has exploded upon the Australian hip-hop scene from the beginning of the 2020s.
The rising Turkish-Egyptian rapper has released such indie-rap tracks as “Ya Rab”, “NO FUN”, SKNOWAY” in collaboration with fellow rapper Lil Sknow and racking in 430k views on YouTube, and most recently “Heart”.
The young rapper has had a lifelong interest in songwriting, recording his first track at just 17 years old. From 2017, Malick would attend a Fitzroy community center, in an effort to spread his music to a wider audience.
By 2020, under Baby Face Mal, he recorded his first mixtape “Time Out” through 66 Records. The tape generated millions of internet streams as well as his single “SKNOWAY” being a hit.
His newest single “Heart” was released in May and has currently received over 18k views.
