Hurricane Dorian is still ravaging the Bahamas having slowed down to 2km per hour but has also been downgraded to a level 4 category Hurricane.

As Dorian leaves the Bahamas it is expected to head North along the West Coast of the Southern United States. It is hoped that Florida will miss the worst of the impact, but that is not yet certain, since Hurricanes can make unpredictable direction changes at any time.

The greater concern is for the Carolinas further North, which will very likely be hit with greater force from the now level 4 Hurricane in the next day or two.

The devastation in the Bahamas has been widespread and the worst ever from a Hurricane. Five people have been confirmed dead and dozens are still unaccounted for, with reports of bodies having been seen floating in the raging floodwaters.

The increase in Hurricane activity in the Atlantic is unprecedented and is seen to be a very obvious result of Climate Crisis related events. Some experts believe that this is going to be a common trend for serious weather events across the planet with an increasing scale of highly destructive consequences.
