Saudi Arabia has revealed the park design for the new Six Flags Qiddiya. It will be the first family theme park in the kingdom and many have said it will “set world records” and is due for completion in 2023.

According to Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) representative, Chief Executive Officer Michael Reininger, “Our vision is to make Six Flags Qiddiya a theme park that delivers all the thrills and excitement that audiences from all over the world have come to expect from the Six Flags brand, and to elevate those experiences with authentic themes connected to the location. As a place that will create indelible memories and moments of delight, telling stories that resonate with our guests is a central notion that will be evident throughout Qiddiya.”

There will be six themed lands that will be called The City of Thrills, Discovery Springs, Steam Town, Twilight Gardens, Valley of Fortune and Grand Exposition. There is also expected to be a safari park. Twelve roller coasters in all have been announced with The Falcons Flight ride, inspired by the kingdoms iconic bird is being said to be the longest, tallest and fastest of its kind.

The park will cover 32 hectares and is being designed for people of all ages with motor sport facilities. It is hoped that the park will attract up to 15,000 visitors a day.

During the summer months, when the heat is oppressive, operating times will be moved later during the day and well into the night.
