CANBERRA: Saudi Ambassador to Australia Musaed bin Ibrahim Al-Saleem and Australian Minister for Multicultural Affairs Chris Steele inaugurated Saudi cultural events at the Australian Cultural Diversity Festival.
The event saw the attendance of nearly 500,000 visitors, with more than 44 participating countries. Al-Saleem and Steele toured the Kingdom’s pavilion at the festival.
The ambassador stressed the importance of participating in international cultural events to introduce and promote Saudi culture.
This year’s edition included several exhibitions on heritage and culture, including folkloric and popular shows that inaugurated the festival, a traditional Saudi tent — in which Arabic coffee, dates and popular dishes were presented — and documentary films about the Kingdom in English.
