Great opportunities to provide vocational training exist in the Middle East and Northern Africa – particularly in countries like Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia.
Those countries are eagerly seeking professional, well-managed, accredited courses to fill an educational void in a lucrative and booming market.
They are currently not well serviced for vocational training and so an excellent opportunity exists for Australian institutions to jump in and help fill the void.
The market is huge when you consider that Egypt alone has a population of 100 million with an ever growing middle-class desperately seeking to further educate their children.
Vocational training in the fields of hospitality, teaching, hospitals and construction are particularly in demand and courses from Certificate 2 level to Advanced Diploma would be required.
It is suggested that interested Australian educational institutions could approach this foreign market in one of three ways:
(i) independently
(ii) in collaboration with a local government agency or
(iii) in partnership with an existing private sector education provider.
