The World Airline Awards ceremony was held on June 17th 2025, at the Paris Air Show, in the Air and Space Museum, by the British-based research organisation Skytrax, who set out to improve the quality of customer experiences. The event was first established in 1999 to reflect the global customer satisfaction through a survey, to determine the different services favoured by the masses.
For this year’s ranking the online survey operated from September 2024 to May 2025 with over a hundred nationalities participating and after diligently filtering through the entries, the awards were determined through the highest votes for each category.
Once again Qatar Airways ranked as the World’s Best Airline for 2025, receiving the award for the 9th time at the awards known as the Oscars of the aviation industry. The CEO of Qatar Airways Group, Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, commented on their success upon receiving the award and stated:
“Being named the World’s Best Airline for the ninth time is an extraordinary honor. This recognition is far more than an award, it is a celebration of the passion, precision and purpose that defines who we are as an airline. To retain this title in a highly competitive and ever-evolving global industry reflects the relentless efforts across every part of the business, from the frontline to behind the scenes, the passion and commitment of our people continue to set new standards in aviation.”
